South of the wall: A food guide through the realm of Alabang

Offering everything from upscale, third wave coffee, to your standard fare street food, our little kingdom of Katipunan and its surrounding areas have long been a haven for foodies. But for the hungry adventurers looking for an out-of-town trip, take this map and venture south of the wall to Alabang.

There are a lot of great places in BF. In my opinion, you should include Ramen Kuroda (Authentic Ramen house), Grandad’s Grill and Deli Menu (great but really cheap steak) and Magnum Opus (great cafe).

There are far more (and on some occasions, better and cheaper) establishments than those listed above such as those in BF, as the other person had said. To add to his or her list, Mama Lou’s is fantastic. They also have a branch in Nuvali, which is also technically south. I just wish you had not limited the “south” to Alabang, especially if you want to “venture out.”

Hey there! Vantage Editor here. Thanks for the tips, guys. As the name suggests, we concentrated on Alabang for this piece—but this is the start of an ongoing series of food trips, so hopefully we can move on to covering BF and more soon.

Yushoken is really great and undeniably the best ramen I’ve tasted (so far)… Good choice on the author’s part to put this on the list. I don’t know about you, but it’s possibly the closest thing to heaven that I can imagine… (I’m thinking about it right now and woahh…. I’m starting to lose myself o____O) #takemymoney
