Yogur-Porfaitvor review

The first JSEC stall of its kind, Yogur-Porfaitvor serves artisanal yogurt with fresh, all-natural ingredients. Sourcing their yogurt from the same local dairy behind Carmen’s Best and layering them with a multitude of delicious toppings, their selection is enough to make any dessert lover’s mouth water.

Taste

Yogur-Porfaitvor serves their parfaits straight from the fridge, so they’re cool and creamy at just the right consistency where you’d want to lick your spoon for more. The sweetness and tanginess of the yogurt is well-balanced as well, making for a very supple and decadent dish.

It’s easy to see why the BB and Apple Pie are their two bestsellers. BB combines the sweetness of ripe banana and the tanginess of luscious blueberries, which burst in the mouth with rich flavor. Adding a nice crunch is honeyed granola which delightfully offsets the creaminess of the yogurt.

Overall, though, it’s the Apple Pie that really takes the cake. Topped with a crisp cinnamon-apple mix and drizzled with golden caramel syrup, it’s pure autumny goodness in a bottle. Biscoff spread finishes off the lush dessert, serving as the crumbly pie crust in the mix.

Concept

By layering yogurt, toppings, and sauces in a tall, elegant glass like a parfait—hence the stall’s name—Yogur-Porfaitvor provides both a feast for the eyes and the stomach. Its parfaits are pre-made, as well, making it a stall where one can grab a scrumptious snack, even in a hurry. Always experimenting, the innovative stall has three staple flavors—the fruity BB, the chocolatey Nut Flurry, and the syrupy Apple Pie—as well as a fourth flavor-of-the-month—so one can always expect something new.

Value for Money

With rich ingredients of utmost quality, each dish is really worth the Php 75. Although generous portions make one parfait a tad too filling at times, it’s easily forgiven with each delectable, dulcet note. For those who have fantasized about eating just dessert for lunch, this stall is for you.

Final Verdict

For the sweet tooths who also want to keep things (somewhat) healthy, Yogur-Porfaitvor is the perfect place. The stall keeps things simple yet classy with beautiful packaging and exquisite flavors. Each offering has been carefully thought out for the ingredients to come together mellifluously. By successfully executing the yogurt parfait trend within campus, it deserves a perfect score.

5/5
