When pit against international blockbusters, local films hardly get the screen time they deserve. That’s why the Film Development Council of the Philippines’ Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino (PPP) is always worth celebrating: These proudly Filipino works have at least a week to themselves in movie houses across the country.
PPP was slated to run for just a week, from September 13 to 19. The good news is that it’s extended up to September 26 for select films and cinemas—which means there’s time to catch this year’s stories about family, friendship, love, and a whole lot more.
